Was cursing and ranting about that crazy taxi driver the other nite.. until fren replied via sms "wow Praise God for e angel's protection tt no one is injured"... and realized that i should be giving thanks rather than ranting away.
To date, i think i've got several near misses when it comes to the car and on the road. The latest one being the careless taxi driver who almost crashed to the wall of the meandering slope out of the expressway. Luckily, there was no vehicle behind us (which was unusual on this busy road at that time of the nite). We escaped unharmed, saved for a punctured front tyre on the left hand side.
The other near miss incident... was when i was driving to work during peak hour on a friday. Was supposed to pick up W on the way, since it's his car that i was 'babysitting'. On the SLE, I was navigating a curve on the right lane. There was a metal object in the middle of the lane but i couldn't slow down as there was a taxi tailgating me. No choice, i zoomed over the metal piece.. could feel the bump and the object flying over to the curb. Thot nothg was wrong with the car, and i was speeding @ 90-100km/hr! Only realized the front tyre (driver's side) was flat when i slowed the car as traffic on the road picked up. It was only when i met up with YS for lunch later tt day and he was commenting that the tyre could've burst and sending the car tumbling over @ the speed i was going after i hit the object! Boy, it sent shivers down my spine juz imagining what he described! *bleah*
Another near miss: After trekking Ben Nevis (although we were ill prepared for the trek, and didn't check the weather forecast nor followed any news), we went back and proudly told L's sis and bro-in-law of whe we did in Scotland. Both nearly flipped coz juz a few days before we were there, someone fell off the mountain due to foggy weather. *shudderz*
... see, it seems like there is always a Guardian Angel by our side keeping us SAFE, ya? ;-)
Amen. : )

Heheh... no worries, got 3 of us to take turns. I'll borrow the GPS from my colleague, so it'll be less stressful navigating the maps.
