We went for the fireflies tour along the mangrove while in Bintan. It's just feels so MAGICAL seeing the glowing lights dancing amongst the mangrove trees in the night.Everyone on the
tiny boat was going "oohs" and "ahhs" at the sight of the flickering lights. However, due to the weather and tide conditions, we didn't get to see spectacular synchronized christmas tree lights. :( Will try our luck again when we visit other parts of M'sia or the Philippines... before they are all gone.The presence of the fireflies indicates a healthy and thriving ecosystem. Researchers in Asia, Europe, and North America are seeing dramatic declines in fireflies in recent years.
