Marley & Me
This movie is an adaptation of the autobiography by John Grogan, a columnist, of his labrador. The doggie has its own unique character. We followed the story on how the couple decided to have a pet dog, and how their lives have changed with this family member, until it dies of old age.
It was a feel good comedy, until Marley's death towards the end of the movie... brought back buried memories of our own experience when Adelaide, and FiFi died. It's really traumatic to see your pet dog die, especially having them during your growing up years. :(

Watched the movie coz we were curious why it won 8 Academy Awards. Was expecting to have subtitles... but there was none. The plot is interesting as the Qns asked in the "Who Wants to be a Millionire" Game happened to coincide with specific incidents that Jamal encounted and he was able to answer most of them, and the last 2 Qns were Lucky Guesses!
Find it weird to have indian kids in the slum speaking perfect English! At the end of the movie, you walk away with this feeling that it's a nice movie but at the same time, noted that the movie picked out most of the negative stereotypes of what we view india. But i like the ending where they had the traditional typical group dancing. :P
Anyhow, now i remember the names of The Three Musketees: Athos, Porthos, Aramis =)

This is the movie version of the popular japanese drama "Detective Galileo". The brainy and handsome physicist is always helping the police to solve mysterious cases that seem to be illogical or supernatural to the layman, with scientific logic. This time, it's about the devotion of the mathematician who helped his pretty neighbor to build a strong alibi when the police tracked her down on the the death of her ex-husband. The audience knew from the beginning that she murdered her ex-husband, and throughout the entire show, you'd think it's a battle of wits for Prof Yugawa (Galileo) to solve how the mathematician did it. However, i like the Twist in storyline when Galileo was spot on with his hypothesis!
