Aibo is a popular detective drama on Japanese television and the seventh season will premiere on October 2008. Starting out in 2002 as a hugely popular TV drama on TV Asahi the big screen adaptation of “Aibô” follows Metropolitan Police Dept. partners Ukyo Sugishita and Kaoru Kameyama (played by Yutaka Mizutani and Yasufumi Terawaki respectively) as they take on another case that the day-to-day cops just can’t crack. In this movie version, the duo pit their chess skills with the killer. Quite a touching ending.
Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis
The title in English "Welcome to the Sticks" (literally in French, it means "Welcome to the Land of the Ch’tis"), a comedy about French regional stereotypes.
The movie, follows a southerner (Philippe Abrams) who, on orders from his company, moves to the Nord Pas de Calais region bordering Belgium. He dreaded the relocation, on the highway,he was booked for road hogging @ 30km/h. When the traffic police learnt that he's wasn't really excited to reach his destination, gave Philippe his sympathy and waived the summon. :P When he 1st arrived at the town, Philippe was sad and miserable, but once he’s able to communicate with the locals — who speak an impossible-to-understand French dialect — he discovers that the Ch’tis are a kind-hearted bunch, after all.
Nice movie to watch, with the typical european sense of humor. :)
