Three Kingdoms 三国

The Three Kingdoms period is one of the bloodiest in the Chinese History. Although relatively short, this historical period has been greatly romanticised in the cultures of China, Japan, Korea, etc. It has been celebrated and popularised in operas, folk stories, novels and in films, tv serials. Tried to cheat my way thru' by reading summaries from wikipedia.. but it didn't help much. I only got more confused with all the names! *bleah*
Other than the stories/folklores studied and told by my primary school Chinese teachers, my diet of Chinese History is mainly fed from the the various HKG drama serials. It was more to watch the handsome actors, and pretty actresses. :Pp
This time round, the sudden interest in the three kingdoms was because i'm watching Andy Lau's latest movie: "Three Kingdoms - Resurrection Of The Dragon" (三国志之见龙卸甲).
In this version, the focus is on one of the famous general during that period in LiuBei's camp, 赵子龍. =) Actually, filming of this movie was done about a year ago in ulu part of China (瓜洲) near DunHuang. The crew had to travel 3 hrs drive just to arrive at the shooting location. Check out the Beautiful pixs by Andy in his blog:
