Walking Mozzie Magnets

This is a daily ritual during our 4 days in Chennai:
Every morning, the 1st thing both QY and i did when we got into the car --> Busy swatting the damned mozzies. By the 3rd morning, the driver couldn't contain himself when the slapping sounds started from the back of the car... and commented smilingly "killing the mosquitoes again?"

It seems like only the 2 of us were the only targets by the damned mosquitoes, while the rest of the folkz have no such problem even when they stand right beside us! I've got at least 6 bites on both legs... *sulkz* Praying hard that the bout of fever over the weekend is just a normal flu or an allergic reaction to the haze, and not the symptoms of dengue fever *Touch Wood + Fingers Crossed*... as i recall the mozzies i managed to kill were brownish/grey in color (not black-white striped legged mossies)

Found some close answers from here:
Mosquitoes are insects that have been around for over 30 million years. And it seems that, during those millions of years, mosquitoes have been honing their skills so that they are now experts at finding people to bite. A mosquito has a battery of sensors designed to track their prey, including:
Chemical sensors - mosquitoes can sense carbon dioxide and lactic acid up to 100 ft (36m) away. Mammals and birds gives off these gases as part of their normal breathing. Certain chemicals in sweat also seem to attract mosquitoes (people who don't sweat much don't get nearly as many mosquito bites).
Visual sensors - if you are wearing clothing that contrasts with the background, and especially if you move while wearing that clothing, mosquitoes can see you and zero in on you. It's a good bet that anything moving is "alive", and therefore full of blood, so this is a good strategy.
Heat sensors - Mosquitoes can detect heat, so they can find warm-blooded mammals and birds very easily once they get close enough.

Stimulli that attract Mosquitos:
High Metabolism ... (possibly... given that this explains the different mix of chemicals emited thru' our skin, since our bodies process those chemicals faster than other pple)
Floral fragrances found in perfumes, lotions, soaps, and hair care products may attract biting insects ... (hmmm... possibly.. Yikes!! The 2 of us could've concocted a lethal mix of 'mossie magnet' with our perfume + moisturizer + shampoo + conditioner + shower gel!!!)
Larger Body Surface Area
<-- Not True, coz both of us were smaller size than S who was with us on the Trip all the time.

Sweaty Body <-- The weather was sunny, but not humid like S'pore, so we were not sweating...
Now, i think i understand why they were blasting the air-con in chennai office. To keep the temperature low so that the mosiquitos won't come in!

... looks like i gotta add a tube of insect repellent in my regular travel kit...
