Dental Blues

Apparently, Singaporeans don't take dental health seriously... according to the statistics. Most only go to the dentist when the tooth ache badly. Never understand why it's so scary to visit the dentist? Some don't even dare to step in to a dental clinic unless they really have to.

So, pple usually give me this weird look when i announce that i have my dental appointment with Dr Chen every 6 mths religiously. Have been to the same dentist for the past 10 yrs. He is a nice dr, very thorough and patient in explaining the condition. His schedule is sooooo packed that i cannot afford to miss an appointment with him!

The filling on one of my tooth dropped off in July. Have been put on standby list... but have yet to receive a call from the clinic...if i insist to make an appt, the earliest slot is April 2007!! *pengz*

D recommended the dentist Dr Chew from Mt E. The clinic name: Chew and Chew Surgery Clinic... hehe.. sounds corny. :Pp (The other Dr Chew is an ENT specialist). This dentist's not as gentle and thorough as Dr Chen, and the room was cluttered with stuff, it doesn't look clean. *bleah* The micro camera that captures the view of the inside of your mouth on the tv looks kinda cool tho'. :p

... looks like i gotta look for a 2nd dentist as backup now ...
