..been dreading to receive this news... but it Finally came on tuesday moRning... my ex-boss pAssed away. :(This is the 2Nd death at the office within the span of 9 mths and both Cases were snr leaders In the organization. *Sighz* It must've been very emotionally draining year for the team in the regional office...
Diagnosed with colon cancer 5 yrs ago and managed to have the disease in remission until ~1yr ago when it came back again.. He's always this gentleman who had this calming effect when you speak with him and seeking his help or counsel on some knotty issues. Despite his deteriorating condition, he ensured S had the emotional support when he struggled thru' his chemo treatment late last yr. When S passed away in late Jan, F was evidently affected (emotionally). When we tried to cheer him up by saying that he could successfully fight the disease again, he merely smiled and replied "Well, in His grace, God has already given me 5 extra yrs... what more can i ask?"...
The last time i spoke to him was juz before i left the company ~mid june... (he was already having problem walking).. where he came to my office to wish me success in the next chapter of my career...
