Probably because CNY's round the corner... Orchard Road is still as crowded with shoppers. The Car Grooming Shop's fully booked on weekends, he's even open for biz on sundays to cope with the overwhelming demand. The Hairstylist's schedule is booked back-to-back. The Asethetic Dr's schedule is also very packed! Thank goodness i've managed to clear all the errands before CNY. =)It's been pretty puzzling... It seems like a section of the population have not felt the impact of the current crisis. With all the cautionary notes from HQ and restructuring exercises going on, the mood in the industry has been sombre and i've already tapered down my spending habits these past few months. However, frens who work in the civil service are still merrily discussing their expectation of salary increase and 3 months performance bonus!!? *pengz* Some have frankly admitted that the current crisis remains as "reading articles from the papers", but don't understand (and probably never comprehend) the impact of what's going on in the private sector and globally.
