Round and Round

Have been going in circles (literally speaking) recently...
Singapore Flyer
Brought our overseas guests to the latest tourist attraction - The Singapore Flyer. Billed as the "world's largest ferris wheel" (we just hafta be world's best, world's #1, etc ya? :P) On a clear day, you can see the buildings around, but don't get your expectation too high coz it won't get you excited with spectacular views lorr.. *sighz* Definitely not worth going back with the S$29.50/pax charges.

Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant
This is a revolving restaurant and it serves delicious Chinese and dim sum dishes. "It is nestled on top of a flour silo located along Telok Blangah Road very near to the World Trade Centre, with the panoramic view of Singapore's skyline in the Southern part of the country." (as described in its website intro para). However, what greeted you when you arrive at the building are container trucks... at 1st i thot we went to the wrong place!
Apparently, the restaurant won many accolades and its specialties include the much-loved authentic barbecued Peking Duck, and its delectable Lobster Salad, etc. Another peculiar dish is serving Sharks' Fin Soup with Onion Pancakes *scratchz head*
My all-time favorite is the Toffee Banana (拔丝香蕉) dessert. The bananas were deep-fried in batter, then candy-coated with a thin glass of toffee and sesame seeds. Before serving the dessert to us, the waitress tossed the piping hot pieces of banana into a bowl of iced water and quickly scooped them up again. I think purpose is to harden the toffee coating. Yumz! :)
note: managed to find 2 pix of the Toffee Banana dessert from another blogger's post :P
