Boy, the Great Singapore Sale is Finally coming to an end!
Frankly speaking, i don't find the sales fantastic... that explains why i didn't buy much this year round. Probably because i'm getting tired of shopping in Orchard. :(
Unlike other cities, where they have many shopping locations, each with their own distinct characters. Other than having the major International luxury brands located in compact Orchard Rd, and at very competitive prices, S'pore pales in comparison in terms of variety like what Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai offers. Even Manila and Bangkok have greater varieties.
TOKYO
Ginza and Omotesando: Wide variety of shops to cater to all ages and budgets. Especially impressed with the very handsome doormen at some of the exclusive luxury brands boutiques *Droolz* =) ... compared to the uncle we have at LV (Ngee Ann City) *rollz eyes*
Not to mention the shops in Shinjuku, Roponggi Hills, and even the department stores near our hotel in Ikebukuro also took us several visits to complete covering all corners!
SEOUL
MyeongDong: Affordable, and Funky styles are available. Cross the street and you get spoilt with choices of upmarket boutique brands at the Lotte Department stores and the likes.
Dongdaemun: It's their equivalent of our Far East Plaza, but much much better! The shops open until very very Late all year round!!
ErHwa Women's University Street: Affordable, Sassy designs and local brands that are not available in S'pore. I Like! This way, you definitely won't be able to come home and compare prices and ended up feeling heartache if it's cheaper in S'pore.
Apgujong: Can also find small, quaint shops selling very nice, wearable clothes... but Not Cheap.
Gangnam: this is where all the upmarket, luxury brands are. Didn't have time to check out this place... i wonder if they also have Hunky Doormen like in Ginza & Omotesando :Pp

Wait until you go to the US ~ mall of america, macys in NY, Bloomingdales, etc, etc. Singapore - boring - every mall has the same old shops!
