Happy Feet

Finished my facial around 1.30pm, but not rushing anywhere today as i was not going to the gym in the late afternoon. So, on impulse, i had my 1st ever Foot Reflexology! =)
Have heard D, mum, and others raving about it all these years but never had the guts to try... as i also heard how painful it can be.. especially those taiwanese variety shows where they 'torture' their guests with these treatments. From the contorted expressions and screams, it looks kinda scary.
It's painful, but still bearable. The therapist says that my threshold for pain quite good. :P Apparently, foot reflexology helps to improve blood circulation and to reduce stress as the feet reflect the entire body. At the end of the session, the ache on my lower back since last evening seems to have miraculously disappear. My mood seems to have lifted somewhat.. And as i walk towards centrepoint.. really feels like I'm Walking on Air!! =)

Welcome to the reflexology club. Reflexology should really "hurt good." If it is beyond your "comfort zone" ask the practitioner to ease up. If they don't I suggest asking them to stop. There is no need for excessive pain to have reflexology work and work effectively.

Everyone should chose the style of reflexology you like.

All the best,

yes, its a wonerful feeling after a foot massage. - but I still prefer the works on the whole body. For me nothing beats a relaxing swedish massage - for 2 hours preferably!!

Well if it is a foot massage and not reflexology I would agree with you. But if it truly was reflexology I feel the effect is quite different. A lot of spas simply pass a foot massage off as reflexology.

You might still find you prefer full body to reflexology.

All the best,
