Crab Craze

Colony of Colored Crustaceans Crawling Cautiously in Carefully Coated Camouflage..
There was a recent news report that there's this latest craze on the hermit crabs in cute, chirpy, colorful shells as house pets. Although i find the cutsey shells adorable, and agree that it sure cheers one up to see a group of them scurrying on the beach in these colorful shells... these crabs belong to the natural beach NOT the crappy fish tanks.

Agree. Poor hermits. Can't live in peace. Watch a documentary on how these shells were collected, cleaned, smoothen with electric tools, painted and put to dry all this while with the poor hermits still inside.

That's must have so Traumatic for those hermit crabs! I had the impression that they painted the shells separately, and somehow managed to coax the hermit crabs to pick those shells as home!
