I'm not exactly a coffee fanatic, but i like the abundance of cafes in seoul. And many of them have this luxurious and yet comfy ambience, that makes you feel like indulging yourself with the yummy pastries during teatime while enjoying the exchange of latest gossips. :)
We don't have that many similar cafes in S'pore, except @ Hotel lobbies. I'm not referring to popular joints like Starbucks, CoffeeBean, CoffeeClub, etc that you see all over the place. But we should have more of venues like these:The charming Rose Veranda offers an elegant afternoon high tea, with 101 varieties of tea served on Wedgwood tea sets, accompanied by a lavish spread of English and Asian delights. You can just spend the entire afternoon there experimenting the different variety of tea: Hot, Iced, Red, Black, Green, Fusion, etc. The layout also gives diners at each table privacy, and the servings are pretty generous too. With a view of the lush greenery, the english tea sets, and multinational diners, sometime you forget and thot you're on vacation enjoying the afternoon tea. :P
Tucked in a corner on the 2/F in Takashimaya, this is a favorite for many who love the scrumptious scones and teacakes, with tea. Love the idea of having eaverything served in Royal Copenhagen's signature porcelains that are exclusively created for the Danish Royal Family. Makes you feel like the Queen has invited you for tea. :Pp
