Waited so long for The Lake House to be screened in S'pore.
This is the Hollywood version of the original korean movie Il Mare.
The chemistry, ambience in the american version pales in comparison with the original. It's kinda disappointing. Tho' i'm a fan of both Sandra Bullocks and Jeanu Reeves, it somehow lacks the "magical feeling" captured in Il Mare.
I prefer the korean film. It's still in a class of its own: the storyline more poignant and captivating; Cinematography is superb; the pretty red-color letterbox seemed both eerie, yet magical; and the doggie is cuter and has nicer name 'Cola'. : )
