Frequent Flyer

The probability of bumping into familar faces @ the airport or on the flight is pretty high. So far, have bumped into 2 classmates; colleagues from other departments or regions; ex-colleagues; and peers in the network. :)

Sometimes, so busy that can even arrange to meet up in the airport transit lounge! Incredible, rite? Some folkz fly so frequent that they receive VIP treament that's even better than the PPS, and can even breeze thru the check-in counter 15 minutes before departure time... but gotta sprint all the way to the gate. :P

There are not many biz travellers flying to the HQ country on the upper deck... never mention the full names when bitching/gossiping with your fren sitting next to you. Else, will get into hot soup! :P

The only thing that i look forward to are the inflight movies. :P For the long haul flights, it's really a movie-marathon, and i usually arrived @ the destination country jet-lagged... due to lack of sleep/rest rather than because of the change in time-zones. :P
However, the airline seems to be cutting its budget, as they seem to be screening quite a lot of old movies instead of the latest hollywood blockbusters as it used. So, i ended up watching the quirky Korean and Japanese movies, or the HKG movies which i don't usually watch @ the local theatres.

Gotten used to having the hotel room to myself. When you are so tired from the day's hectic schedule and from the travel, all you wanna do is crawl into the cozy bed and crash. So far, only encountered 1 spooky incident in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Auckland. (That's another story for another time).

Another thing: it's not advisable to invite your fren to bunk in with you on your biz trips. Coz it'll make you feel miserable to see fren showing off the spoils from the shoppings while you are cooped in the meetings whole day long and then gotta reply the endless emails till late @ nite. *bleah*

Tipping: I only tip 2 groups of pple. The driver who sends me to the airport departure hall. And the massage therapist after the Spa session. The rest like bellboy, housekeeping, etc.. no need to tip
:P

I've also learnt to become very efficient packing the luggage for the trip. Packed only the minimal, and bring the essentials. And takes me less than 20mins to pack. *gloat*
